About the Pomimo(Eskimo/Pomeranian) Hybrid Dogs:
Pomimo's are a "designer breed" which means they are a cross between two purebred dogs(see below the Pomimo section for Hybrid questions), a Pomeranian and an Eskimo. Pomimo's are smaller than standard sized Eskimos, which can get up to 19" and a Pom gets around 12" at the biggest. Size all depends on the dam and the litter size. Pomimos can come in a variety of coat colors and patterns including red, orange, white, cream, blue, brown, black, black and tan, wolf sable, orange sable, brindle and parti-color, which is white with colored markings. Unlike the Eskimo breed that is always solid white(possible creame spots/points). Pomimos hold the same double coat as an eskimo or a Pom. Which is long haired and are constant shedders. Pomimos are proud, lively little dog. Intelligent, eager to learn, very loyal to its handler and family, and are normaly good with kids. They hold a lot of characteristics from both the Pom and the Eskimo breed.

Designer Dogs(Hybrids)
A "designer" dog is a cross between two purebred dogs. A purebred dog is one that has been bred over many generations to breed true, meaning each puppy that is born looks and has the same temperament and characteristics as the others. Purebred dogs are beneficial in that when you buy a purebred dog you know what you are getting. What's the difference between a designer dog and a mutt? Generally, a mutt is of uncertain ancestry. A designer dog has documented purebred ancestry, and one knows for sure what it is. Unlike purebred dogs, when you adopt a hybrid, you do not know exactly what the temperament, size of the dog, or exact look of the dog will be. When you breed two different types of purebred dogs together you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed.
A Pomimo is a cross between the American Eskimo and the Pomeranian(both being standard sized in our case). In general we will call the first purebred "purebred-A" and the second "purebred-B."
F1=first generation puppy—50% purebred-A and 50% purebred-B.
F1b=backcross puppy—25% purebred-A and 75% urebred-B. For example, an F1 Pomimo and Eskimo cross; this is a Pomimo bred back to Eskimo— which is more likely to be white and eskimo like.
F2=second-generation puppy—F1 hybrid crossed with an F1 hybrid. For example, an F1 Pomimo crossed with an F1 Pomimo. In this combination you get the same percentage of purebred-A as purebred-B as you would in an F1 hybrid.
F2b=second-generation backcross puppy—F1 bred to a F1b (hybrid backcross)
F3=F2 hybrid to F2 hybrid
Multi-generation=F3 or higher-generation hybrid crossed with F3 or higher-generation hybrid

To sum things up:
Purebred-A x Purebred-B = F1 Hybrid Dog
F1 x Purebred-A = F1b Hybrid Dog
F1 x F1 = F2 Hybrid Dog
F1 x F1b = F2b Hybrid Dog
F2 x F2 = F3 Hybrid Dog
About the Pomeranian Breed:
Tigger* a male Pom we had in the past.
They can be red, orange, white, cream, blue, brown, black, black and tan, wolf sable, orange sable, brindle and parti-color, which is white with colored markings or even merle colored. It is a toy breed. They are double coated. Pomeranian is a constant shedder. But grooming is easy. Pomeranians are proud, intelligent, eager to learn, very loyal to their people. They make great
gaurd dogs because they are naturaly "on guard". Poms are alert, inquisitive and active: one of the most independent of the Toy breeds. The standard sized Poms are 7-12 inches and 3-7lbs. The can live up to 15 years.They are not really a family dog, I mean familes with smaller(15 or younger) kids. GREAT for adults
and elderly.
